INNOVATION
Innovation Thematic Line works in topics related to: the creation and diffusion of scientific and technological knowledge and innovation; the creation of knowledge-intensive firms, academic spin-offs and other; the transformation of large sociotechnical systems, like the energy system and the food system in the transition to sustainability; and the emergence and role of actors, values, norms, policies and forms of governance in these processes. This team also addresses other topics, like intellectual capital management.

Most of the research is supported by empirical analysis, resorting to different quantitative and qualitative techniques - econometrics, case studies and social network analysis – and a large array of data, both primary and secondary.
