Dr Uglješa Stankov is a Full Professor at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. His main research areas are the strategic role of information technology in tourism experiences, geospatial analysis, and mindful tourist experiences. Uglješa actively cooperates with researchers and professional organizations from the world and currently participates in several international projects. He has published more than 150 scientific papers and four books. He was a member of the external evaluation team for the ’Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ beginning in 2017, and in 2021 he joined the ECoC team as a main internal evaluator.
