Rocío obtained a Degree in Architecture with honours and Master’s Degree in Preservation of Architectural Heritage from Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT). In 2020, she began a research contract to collaborate on defining a new urban model for the municipality of Murcia, in partnership with its City Council, Banco Santander, and UPCT. Since 2022, Rocío has been pursuing a PhD at UPCT, funded by a predoctoral contract from Fundación Séneca, Spain (21842/FPI/22). Her dissertation focuses on the potential for urban regeneration in southeastern Spain cities designated as Historic Sites.
