Short Bio

Born in Huambo, Angola, 1963. Architect by the Lisbon School of Architecture (FAUTL), 1986. MS by the same school. Teacher at the Porto Lusíada University, from 1991 to 2014: design studio, building technology, urban design. Master-thesis co-supervisor for several dissertations. Architectural designer since 1987: housing, civic facilities and large urban schemes. Several awards in architectural competitions. Doctoral research: mutual impacts of culture, technology and ideology in the 1930’s Portuguese built environment. Grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), 2012.
