Alexandre Mergulhão holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) and a Master's degree in Economics from the same institution of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He worked at the Ministry of Finance of Portugal as an economic advisor in the Office for Economic Policy and International Affairs. Currently a PhD candidate in Political Economy focusing on the Comparative Political Economy of Top Incomes in the OECD.
