Short Bio

Alba Zarza Arribas is an integrated researcher at Dinâmia’CET - ISCTE-IUL.

She holds a Ph.D. in Architecture (2023, International Mention), is an architect (Bachelor Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture, 2015; Master in Architecture, 2016) and a University Specialist in History and Aesthetics of Cinematography (2020) from the University of Valladolid (Spain).

Her doctoral research, funded by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (Portugal), focuses on the relationship between architecture and cinema, and specifically on the representation of housing in the Iberian Peninsula during the middle decades of the 20th century.

She has been a researcher at the Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo | CEAA (2018-2024) and the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (2022-2023), where she participated in with several research projects. She is associated member of the Instituto Universitario de Urbanística of the University of Valladolid, member of the AIM - Associação de Investigadores da Imagem em Movimento and correspondent for the journal Proyecto, progreso, arquitectura.
