Business Consultant to public and private entities in Portugal and abroad. Published papers in international and national scientific journals and in proceedings of international scientific meetings.

Studies on risk analysis and management, in particular uncertain or emerging risks, in areas such as environment, health or food safety, in a context of innovation and orientation towards sustainability.Topics to consider:- Public regulation of risk. Weighting costs and economic and social benefits associated with risk management and judicial settlement of conflicts- Risk innovation to strengthen territorial and societal resilience- Sources of environmental, economic and social information and measurement and policy instruments- Innovation and sustainability strategies in organizations (companies, NGOs)

This work program follows previous individual work with DC and can contribute to the analysis of the contexts, actors and consequences of change (of Portuguese society), with a focus on public policies and institutional frameworks. It will be based on interdisciplinary approaches (economics, management, law), and intends to contribute to develop knowledge and propose solutions in the perspective of the sustainable development of the country.Within the GEC group, formal regulatory processes, including legislative processes, will focus on research in specific domains of social life and public policy, such as environmental risk and public health.
