Short Bio

Professor at ISCTE-IUL, Department of Science and Information Technology, where he coordinates the curricular units of Profession, Ethics and Society, and Computational Simulation of Social Systems. His interests include social simulation and artificial societies, complexity, e-government, e-learning and educational technologies, responsibility and professional ethics in the field of ICT, computation applied to social and management sciences, philosophy of computer science and in general Implications of computational and interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and methodology of Social Sciences or Informatics. Graduated from the University of Coimbra, he holds a PhD from the University of Lisbon and the University of São Paulo (Brazil).
