Employment law has human labour as its object. Thus, all changes and innovations incorporated in organizations, namely of a technological nature, are reflected in the daily lives of workers and require compatibility with their rights. Neutral technological changes and innovations for employees are hardly conceivable.

Automation and the introduction of new technologies in the workplace have a direct impact on the future of work, on its quality, as well as on the compatibility of practices adopted by organizations aimed at achieving efficiency and economic rationality and the employees’ rights.

Innovation and technological development applied to organizations through People Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the use of big data do not stop at the door of Human Resources departments, on the contrary, they are seen as an opportunity to optimize the management of existing resources. in the organization and as a challenge to ensure respect for employees' rights.
