research project at dinâmia'cet-Iscte

This project, which falls within the objectives 11 and 13 of the United Nations 2030 agenda, has the municipality of Lisbon as a case study and aims to evaluate the efficiency of its vegetation and urbanism plan, in terms of its public service values that can be measured by its capacity to improve urban biodiversity and its aptitude to promote healthier and more productive urban environments with benefits for the social fabric and the public and private sectors. The main objective of this project is to reflect on the importance of using adequate vegetation when planning biophilic cities, by privileging characteristics of plants and trees that enhance decarbonization and have thermal regulation capacity that can promote more sustainable and resilient cities.
