Short Bio
Ana Mehnert Pascoal is an integrated researcher at DINÂMIA'CET-IUL.
She holds a Ph.D. in Art History, specialty in Art, Heritage and Restoration (2023) and a M.A. in Art, Heritage and Restoration Theory (2011), both from the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon. She specialises in the history of twentieth-century dictatorships, focusing on relationships between political power, architecture and visual arts; architecture and bureaucracy; history of public buildings; and difficult heritage.
She collaborated with several funded research projects, and has been a researcher at ARTIS - Instituto de História da Arte (2017-2023). She also gathered experience in the museum sector as a research fellow at Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência (University of Lisbon, 2011-2017).
