This project aims to investigate new forms of multilevel governance and how these can positively contribute to improving public policies in urban areas in crisis.We intend to understand the relationship between different levels of governance and management models in urban areas in crisis, starting from the analysis of decision models in urban regeneration processes. The research commits itself to interpreting the interactions between local actors and the various levels of government, testing how the assumptions of collaborative governance models are appropriate to the challenges.We will test the hypothesis that multi-level forms of governance depend on intra- and inter-organizational innovation.
