Rendimento Básico Incondicional, os impactos nos modos de ativação e produção de bem-estar dos cidadãos
Bruno Miguel Oliveira
The Universal Basic Income (UBI) is an idea that is being studied as a possible alternative for the social policies in different Welfare States, based on a contributive system. The continuing growth of non-standard forms of employment is usually linked to low wages, weak employment protection and short-term relationships with limited access to social protection. We intend to study the case studies of UBI in four countries and analyse the trajectories of the beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of UBI to understand if and how they activate in the labour market, who would benefit the most whether UBI will be able to truly empower peoples' lives.
