Leonor was born in Lisbon in the year 1978. After studying architecture and music, she completed her Master’s degree in the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon, in 2011.
She is presently a PhD student of ISCTE’s doctoral program under the supervision of Professor Ana Vaz Milheiro.
Her research focuses on Portuguese contemporary culture. Her subject is the Department of Architecture of the Lisbon Superior School of Fine Arts in the first years of democracy, before architecture education was open to private schools.
She has a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology and is involved with other scientific projects.

She is part of the project team of the journal PASSAGENS, a double blind peer reviewed periodic of the Doctoral Program in Architecture of the Contemporary Metropolitan Territories of the ISCTE-IUL, edited by Caleidoscópio.
She also collaborates with the project THE SITE OF DISCOURSE whose Major Unity of Investigation is the Institute for Art History (IHA/FCSH/UNL).
