ArchLabour Book Launch, Round Table and Exhibition

The A+I Research Group will host an event at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon on 1 April 2025.

The event includes the launch of the book Colonial and Post-Colonial Landscapes I – Architectures, Cities, Infrastructures in Africa. Coast to Coast Researchers’ Book, a publication gathering the contributions of researchers from the Coast to Coast project (PTDC/ATP-AQI/0742/2014). This will be followed by the round table Roundtable II: Infrastructures + Labour + Transport, where experts in the field will discuss the impact of infrastructures, labour, and transport in colonial and post-colonial contexts.

In parallel, the A+I Research Group exhibition will be inaugurated, presenting study materials, results, and outputs of research projects, contributing to the understanding of various aspects of the built environment in Africa within the context of Portuguese colonialism and post-colonialism.
