The YEO aim to develop six types of dissemination activities. First, an interactive website, which allows a user-friendly approach. The website uses TABLEAU software that allows users to select the data they are more interested in; choose specific graphs and tables and to share those materials through social media or networks. The YEO has active accounts in Facebook and X, which are updated every week.

Second, YEO publishes policy briefs, which consist of short thematic papers, that include empirical evidence on youth labour market outcomes. Each policy brief includes recommendations based on that evidence. Policy briefs are prepared by YEO members and other invited researchers that have expertise on the field. These policy briefs are interactive because users may select data while are reading the policy briefs in the YEO website. Throughout the past three years, several policy briefs were published in the YEO website.

Third, an annual report that includes recent data on youth unemployment, job quality and labour market policies. The report also discusses the empirical findings. The annual report may be devoted to a thematic issue selected by the team and inspired in the ongoing research of the team members. The annual report is usually released in conjunction with an event. Fourth, team members frequently interact with the media. This activity involves writing opinion articles in national newspapers; replying to journalists queries and participating in television and radio shows. The invitations to participate in the media show the impact and the relevance of the work developed at YEO, as well as the social relevance of youth labour market issues. We aim to continue this work in the next years.

Fifth, participation in seminars organised by other organisations. In the past three years, the coordinators of the YEO participated in events organised by the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, the Ministry of Labour, the Public Employment Services (IEFP), the Economic and Social Council, Employer Associations, the Portuguese Economics Association (Ordem dos Economistas), municipalities, among others. In the next years we aim to continue and consolidate our collaboration with these organisations.

Finally, scientific papers and scientific events that allow the dissemination of our work, at both the national and international level. This type of dissemination works as a link with the ongoing research projects taking place in DINÂMIA’CET, namely two projects that received Foundation of Science and Technology (FCT) grants: BRIGHET: Bringing together Higher Education, Training, and Job Quality, Reference: PTDC/SOC-SOC/30016/2017; and SOLID-JOB: Rebuilding Solidarity in an Age of Job Dualization, reference PTDC/CPO-CPO/6230/2020.
